Submission guidelines

Hartford Business reviews all paid business announcements before publication. To be accepted, submissions must:

• Be relevant to our Connecticut business audience and submitted by the organization or an authorized representative.
• Include accurate contact information and comply with applicable laws, including copyright and trademark requirements.
• Not contain false, misleading, defamatory, deceptive, offensive or illegal content.

Hartford Business Journal may edit submissions for grammar, style, formatting, and length without materially changing the content of the announcement. Paid business announcements are considered advertising content. If a submission is declined for not meeting these guidelines, the fee will be refunded.

Purchasing a business announcement does not guarantee news coverage or influence editorial decisions. If our newsroom determines that an announcement is independently newsworthy, it may choose to cover it editorially. Newsworthy items may also be submitted directly to editorial@hartfordbusiness.com for consideration.
