Do you think Connecticut should eliminate its personal income tax?

Republican gubernatorial candidate Betsy McCaughey has made eliminating Connecticut’s personal income tax a centerpiece of her campaign, arguing the move would spur economic growth and make the state more competitive.

Critics, including state Revenue Services Commissioner Mark Boughton, say it’s not realistic as the tax generates roughly $13 billion annually, or about half of all state revenue.
