What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?
My biggest professional accomplishment is my promotion to vice president at ConnectiCare earlier this year. I was quickly able to learn my way through the organization and transform the analytics function from a report-producing function, to an insight-delivery function. For this, I was awarded a promotion, increasing my responsibility and visibility within the organization.
How are you involved in the community?
I currently serve on the finance board for the borough of Naugatuck, as well as an advisor to the Minister of Diaspora for the Republic of Albania. I have previously served as treasurer of the Naugatuck High School Marching Band Organization, and president of the Albanian-American Community of Waterbury.
What do you like to do outside of work?
When I am not spending my time in community or public service, I enjoy traveling with my wife (we have been to 16 countries so far) and spending time with my extended family. I am an avid soccer player, and one of Roger Federer’s biggest fans.
Four reasons why you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty:
• Promoted to vice president at age 30.
• Selected as one of three United States-based advisors to the Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Albania, representing the Connecticut Albanian community on an international level.
• Dedicated community volunteer: Naugatuck Finance Board, Naugatuck High School Music program, Junior Achievement, and a Waterbury-based food-sharing program that feeds 100 families every month.
• Completed my bachelor’s degree in finance in three years while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Completed finance coursework at age 19.
Fun Fact
Any time I have purchased tickets to see Roger Federer play a match, he has lost.
