What do you do in your current job?
I lead the development of strategy and program/initiative development to achieve Legrand Group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives in North and Central America. This includes tailoring initiatives to be relevant to our regional social, environmental and market context.
This leadership role entails contributing to the development of Legrand’s global CSR roadmap, leading a corporate team of sustainability professionals and organizing and coordinating eight cross-company teams representing every division that work to drive achievement of our CSR objectives in specific areas.
I am also a member of the Legrand North and Central America executive team and co-lead several corporatewide initiatives.
What have been your biggest professional accomplishments over the past year?
In mid-2018, I assumed responsibility for creating a corporate Environment, Health and Safety program. In April 2020, my CEO asked me to lead a COVID response team. We are very gratified that internal surveys reflect high employee confidence in the response to COVID and with everyone’s best efforts, the business has stayed well on course.
In what ways are you involved in the community?
I am executive sponsor of the Legrand Better Communities program, which I am proud to have spearheaded in 2014. I continue to serve on the Better Communities Committee and work to engage leadership support for the continued growth and expansion of our community involvement, not just in Connecticut, but around the U.S.
