Reynolds Garage & Marine Inc. sells and services new and used Subarus, as well as other makes and new and used bass fishing and center console boats and loose outboard engines. We are the oldest continuously owned and operated dealership on the East Coast and the third oldest in the country.
Tell us a bit about your recent accomplishments.
We are most proud of how our dealership has embraced the Subaru Love Promise initiative. We were selected as a Love Promise runner up by Subaru of America for our story “Comfort for Critters.” We partnered with our very own Subaru automotive technician’s daughter, Sonja, who was working with Protectors Of Animals (POA) Shelter of East Hartford, collecting food, litter, cleaning supplies, gently used towels and more. Our family loves helping youth in achieving their goals.
How has your company shifted its strategy during the pandemic?
Our family was very quick to react once the pandemic hit. We installed Plexiglass and added additional safety protocols. Additionally, we recognized we needed to stay open to offer our services to medical staff and other essential workers. We kept most of our staff as we value our employees — they are integral to our operations. We did secure the initial PPP loan as well to ensure our staff would continue to get compensated.
