What do you do in your current job?

I manage the long-term vision, strategies and daily operations of Eppendorf’s local division in Enfield, while also leading the global Technology Division – Lab Solutions Bioprocess. I work to ensure we improve human living conditions by being an expert partner offering high-quality, high-performance products, systems and services in laboratories worldwide.

I focus on many strategic topics in our matrix organization, including product portfolio and innovation roadmaps and technologies, manufacturing footprint expansion, operational excellence and organization transformation. I also like to be a hands-on manager and pride myself in having a day-to-day pulse of our operations, production topics and teams.

What have been your biggest professional accomplishments over the past year?

I am particularly proud of our company’s contributions during COVID. Eppendorf manufactures products like pipette tips and bioreactors, essential for COVID tests and research. During the pandemic, our operations ran 24/7. In addition, we were in the midst of $20-million facilities renovation and expansion projects, all which have now been completed.

In what ways are you involved in the community?

At Asnuntuck Community College we established customized training programs for production technologists and operators and internships. We also have a long history of supporting the Enfield Food Shelf organization. Our HR team and employees drive engagement in our Thanksgiving Food Drive in November and Toys for Tots drive in December.

What’s your guiding business principle?

Lead and manage with integrity, and focus on the people. People drive successful outcomes, and so hire passionate people with high learning agility and then empower them.
