What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?
From the day I started working in public accounting I knew I wanted to be a partner at Whittlesey. For the past 16 years, I worked towards this goal and was promoted to partner in Jan. 2019.
How are you involved in the community?
I am a member of the PTO at my son’s school, and volunteer for almost every event they sponsor. I am the firm’s team leader for the Center for Family Justice annual walk, and support and attend many of our clients’ charitable initiatives.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I am a single mother of an 8-year-old son, so much of my time is spent with him playing outside or with Legos. When I am not with my son I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to concerts and Broadway plays, and reading.
Four reasons why you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty:
• One of the youngest partners at Whittlesey.
• Co-founder of the Women of Whittlesey group.
• As a working single mother I mentor the younger generation to manage work-life balance and obtain high-profile positions.
• I’ve dedicated the majority of my career to helping nonprofits achieve operational efficiencies to support their mission.
Fun Fact
During college I thought about becoming an art teacher as opposed to an accountant.
