What do you do in your current job?
As a senior member of the Hartford HealthCare senior leadership team, together we lead and guide Hartford HealthCare to meet its mission for being the most trusted for personalized care across the state and beyond.
As CFO, I oversee information technology, the supply chain, investments, debt management and other treasury-related functions, accounting, budgeting and revenue-cycle functions that include patient registration, billing and collection activities.
What have been your biggest professional accomplishments over the past year?
Completed the seven-year implementation of all information systems on a single platform.
Created strategies to ensure supplies are adequate to keep staff and patients safe during the pandemic.
Completed a bond offering of $200 million to allow for facility upgrades.
Our investment function was recognized as a national top performer.
Created strategies to ensure that HHC remains profitable.
In what ways are you involved in the community?
Regular attendee of the Third Congregational Church in Middletown.
What’s your guiding business principle?
I treat others as I would like to be treated and am not a ‘tough cookie.’ After all, would you enjoy eating a tough cookie?
