Park City Packaging is a specialty packaging materials and services business. The company helps manufacturers, aerospace companies, government contractors and other businesses comply with commercial and military packaging requirements.
Park City Packaging has four locations across three states and is in its third generation of family leadership.
Tell us a bit about your recent accomplishments.
We are extremely proud of our record of adapting the business to meet changing customer demands. At its inception, Park City Packaging was primarily a service business that offered contract packing for the aerospace and defense industries.

Over the years, and especially in the last five years, the company pivoted into what is now a majority manufacturing operation. The manufacturing of packaging materials (wood crates, corrugated containers, custom foam and dunnage, etc.) now accounts for over 50% of the company’s revenue.
Our willingness to adapt the business in this way has allowed us to reduce order turnaround time by 36%, while offering a more complete experience for our customers.
What are your family values, and how do they contribute to your business success?
A deep and enduring emphasis on effort is central to the Polzello family identity, and is something that also extends to our business.
We expect all Park City Packaging employees to focus on approaching each day with an effort-first mentality, and we believe a high level of effort can make up for gaps in skills, capacity and capability.
How do you see your business changing in the next five years?
Military compliance packaging is a big part of our business. With the advent of AI systems that have the ability to read and interpret unstructured data, we expect AI to play a significant role in the contract review process in years to come.
Do you have a business succession plan?
We expect Park City Packaging to transition from second-generation leadership and ownership to third generation over the next 10 to 15 years.
This time horizon is sufficient to allow for a smooth transition.
