What have been your biggest professional accomplishments so far?
My biggest professional accomplishment was securing a role at Liberty Bank, a company whose “Be Community Kind” mission aligns so deeply with my own personal beliefs and allows me to combine my skills as a strategic, business-minded legal advisor with my desire to effectuate positive change in my community.
What’s the next big goal you want to accomplish professionally?
My next goal as general counsel of Liberty Bank is to refresh the legal department’s strategic plan and deploy it in a way that further integrates the department into the fabric of the bank as a partner that is ready, willing and able to assist our teammates and dedicated to help move the bank closer to its vision of building the community bank of the future.
What’s one of the biggest professional challenges you’ve overcome?
My biggest professional challenges come up when I try to accomplish a task in a way that is not natural to me. I’ve learned that I end up squandering time by taking nonproductive paths. I’ve overcome this challenge by leaning in to learning about what my strengths are and leveraging them, so I am not working against myself.
How are you involved in the community?
I serve on the boards of the CT State Capital Foundation, the regional American Cancer Society chapter, Interval House and Hartford HealthCare’s Hartford Region board.
