Since 1988, Habitat for Humanity North Central Connecticut has helped build, renovate and preserve homes, aiming to broaden access to affordable housing.
Milestone Celebrations: Birthdays and other major life events, such as marriages and new babies, are recognized with gifts and cards. Announcements are shared at staff gatherings and trainings.
Days Off: The organization has a one-week shutdown in the summer and another during the holidays. Employees with up to five years of service get 13 days off. That amount increases to 23 days for 15 years or more.
Giving Back: As a nonprofit, many employees give additional time to the mission and partner organizations.
Employee Benefits: The organization pays 74% of medical costs for employees and 25% for dependents. For dental coverage, Habitat pays 25% for both and 25% vision coverage for employees.
