Carlos Salmon is a partner and wealth manager at Wooster Square Advisors, where he serves on the firm’s investment committee and advises high-net-worth families, business owners, physicians and retirees. He helps oversee investment strategy for more than $400 million in client assets.

Salmon holds the CFP, CIMA, CPWA and CExP designations, serves as a director of the Financial Planning Association of Connecticut, has been featured on FOX 61 News, and recently participated in the NASDAQ opening bell ceremony with the Association of African American Financial Advisors.

What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?

I helped expand our firm’s wealth management capabilities by integrating investment management, tax strategy, private wealth planning and business exit planning into a unified client experience. Earning the CFP, CIMA, CPWA and CExP designations enabled me to guide clients through complex financial decisions while supporting the firm’s continued growth.

How are you involved in the community?

I serve as a director and co-chair of programming for the Financial Planning Association of Connecticut and provide pro bono financial planning through the FPA and Connecticut Veterans Legal Center. I also serve on the board of trustees for Hebrew Senior Care, volunteer with Junior Achievement and teach financial education to medical residents throughout Connecticut.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons, playing golf and tennis, and camping with friends. As a former NCAA Division I tennis player, I still compete at a national level and coach youth tennis in Connecticut.
