Tell us about a challenge in your job that you were able to overcome.

One of my biggest challenges was changing the perception of human resources from a transactional role to a strategic partner. I overcame this by leading with transparency, collaboration and consistency — streamlining processes, improving compliance and working closely with leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals.

This approach not only built trust, but also highlighted HR’s value in driving culture, growth and employee success, positioning the department as an essential partner in advancing InterCommunity’s mission.

What’s your next major goal?

My next major goal is to build a comprehensive talent development strategy that strengthens retention, leadership readiness and employee growth. This includes expanding training programs that connect development with career pathways, implementing data-driven workforce planning and creating systems that further integrate HR into strategic decision-making.

The challenge will be balancing innovation with regulatory and operational demands, but I am committed to ensuring HR continues driving both employee success and organizational excellence.
