Samanta Descombes-Roseme, a registered nurse, co-founded Assured Quality Homecare in 2016 after witnessing the harm untrained caregivers caused during her hospice work. Disturbed by the lack of standards in Connecticut’s home-care system, she designed a model that prioritizes safety and training, requiring all caregivers to be certified before entering a client’s home.
Today, she leads award-winning teams across Connecticut and Rhode Island, fostering a culture where clients feel secure, caregivers feel confident and families never feel alone.

Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty?
• I redefined home care by creating Connecticut’s first caregiver training model where none existed.
• My consistent impact earned deep trust — evidenced by glowing reviews, caregiver pride and high-quality ratings across thousands of care hours.
• I’m transforming home care through advocacy, mentorship and standards — guiding families, professionals and policymakers toward compassionate, accountable care models.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I pour into what matters most — my family. A devoted wife and hands-on mom of three, I am present at every event, values-driven at home and always serving. From mentoring women to cooking meals to growing personally, I live with purpose.
How are you involved in the community?
I serve on the board of MGI: Seniors Strong Community, formerly Mystic Geriatric Institute, advancing programs that uplift older adults. I mentor aspiring women leaders and partners with local organizations to elevate caregiving, support families and honor aging with dignity — uniting my professional experience with a faith-inspired commitment to service.
Fun Fact: I sing with passion, not pitch — covering all vocal parts. Choirs still don’t know my section.
