Jamie L. Perry is the senior vice president and chief security officer at COCC, a financial technology company servicing financial institutions.
In this capacity she is charged with the security of the organization and overseeing the IT governance, risk and compliance strategy, business continuity, disaster recovery and physical security efforts.
In addition to her work at COCC, she is a retired senior master sergeant with the United States Air Force Reserve with 20 years of service.
What’s been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career?
My leadership in vulnerability management cut remediation time by 98%, reducing exposure from weeks to hours, while security awareness training minimized phishing susceptibility by 88%, fortifying human defenses.
My efforts embedding a culture of continual compliance eliminated regulatory issues entirely, achieving a 100% reduction in findings and significantly improved processes.

As a newly retired veteran, I spend time in the community with fellow veterans, helping them navigate health care and educational benefits.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs. I also enjoy woodworking and creating commemorative pieces for active and retired veterans.
