World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: Protecting Older Adults

AARP Connecticut will join the Coalition for Elder Justice in Connecticut for a dynamic half day free program marking World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on Monday, June 15, at the Quinnipiac University School of Law, 370 Bassett Road, North Haven. Open to professionals and community members, the free event will underscore the importance of protecting older adults, strengthening community response, and promoting dignity and safety for all. Participants will have an opportunity to engage with experts, explore emerging best practices, and contribute to a more just, supportive future for Connecticut’s aging community.

In addition, the program has been approved for three (3) professional credit hours by the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) Council and 3.5 CT (general) Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits by the Connecticut Bar Association. Certificates of attendance will be provided on site or distributed electronically for purposes of documenting professional development.
