The 25th annual Wonder of Women WOW event will be held on April 30, 2026 at 5:30pm at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington and will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Women & Girls Fund. Proceeds from the event support programs and initiatives that improve the lives of women and girls in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott. The guest speaker this year will be Kara Woters. Kara is a nationally-recognized sports broadcaster and entrepreneur while also being an Olympic Gold Medalist, UConn National Champion and WNBA Champion. She specializes in helping others realize they can achieve their goals whether in sports or business, as long as they stick to the Three A’s: Accountability, Attitude, and Action. Kara speaks about overcoming adversity, and she gives a game plan for success. Kara believes success in sports or business follow the same rules, and you should always “Dream Big.” In addition, the evening will highlight stories of the impact grantee organizations have had on local residents. Join us and over 400 attendees for an evening of motivation and inspiration. Seats are $75 per person.
