Connecticut’s construction industry, still recovering from the Great Recession, is preparing for another uneasy period while state budget debates and spending plans from both parties promise sharp decreases in public spending.
The Construction Institute at the University of Hartford on Thursday will honor its long-time founding executive director at a special event in Portland.
The Construction Institute will hold its 19th annual State of the State public construction market outlook at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Pratt & Whitney campus in East Hartford.
Construction Institute was spared severance – at least momentarily – from the University of Hartford as the four-year college reorganized its offerings and was looking to cut ties with the trade group.
