David Krechevsky

David joined Hartford Business Journal as senior staff writer in January 2024; his beats include health care, bioscience and the state legislature. A UConn graduate, his long career in journalism included serving as a reporter and/or editor with the New Britain Herald, the Journal Inquirer of Manchester, the Connecticut Post in Bridgeport and the Republican-American in Waterbury, where he also was founder and race director for the Bob Veillette 5K Road Race. Over 11 years, the race raised more than $186,000 for the newspaper’s former managing editor, who was left “locked in” by a stroke. He also served five years as director of public policy and economic development with the Waterbury Regional Chamber.
