Zygo taps tech vet Allan as global chief

Veteran technology executive Tony Allan has been hired to succeed soon-to-retire Douglas J. Eccleston at Zygo Corp., overseeing the Middlefield technology maker’s global operations.

Allan, 46, will be senior vice president, reporting to CEO Chris Koliopoulos once the management transition is complete, the company said Monday. Zygo gave no timetable for Eccleston’s exit.

Zygo makes precision opticals and measuring systems.

Until recently, Allan was chief operating officer at Masimo Corp., an Irvine, Calif., maker of non-invasive patient monitors.
