Zygo hires John Jordan as CFO

Middlefield technology maker Zygo Corp. named former Baldwin Technology executive John P. Jordan as vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately.

Jordan, 65, most recently was CFO and treasurer for Baldwin, the Shelton maker of printing presses.

He also spent more than nine years as vice president and treasurer of Paxar Corp., which makes apparel identification products, bar code identification machinery and supplies.

A certified public accountant who began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co., Jordan has an accounting degree from the University of Florida.

Zygo CEO Chris Koliopoulos said the company sought Jordan’s global manufacturing expertise, along with his finance skills.

Zygo develops and sells optical metrology equipment like interferometers, also used in the production of microchips and biomedical devices, and in scientific and industrial markets.
