Middlefield manufacturer Zygo Corp. said it has received an approximately $3 million order for its optical metrology systems.
Zygo said the order is from a major Asian manufacturer of substrates used to make microchips. The metrology systems, which make measurements, will improve the quality and yield of the Asian company’s processes, as well as lower costs, Zygo said.
The company has announced nearly $10 million in orders in the past month.
