The Connecticut renewable energy credit meeting cancelled because of Hurricane Sandy has been rescheduled for Nov. 27.
Electric utilities Connecticut Light & Power of Berlin and United Illuminating of New Haven originally scheduled an informational meeting for renewable energy installation developers for Nov. 5, but they cancelled as their focus shifted to Hurricane Sandy restorations.
The meeting will discuss the credit money available for zero-emissions renewable energy credits, or ZRECs, available for installations of less than 100 kilowatts. The meeting will feature how firms can apply for the credits, and 15-year contracts will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
The new meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 27 in the Northeast Utilities offices at 107 Selden St. in Berlin.
