Alteris Renewables, the Wilton-based renewable energy installer, introduced new financing options on Tuesday allowing for customers to install solar photovoltaic systems with no money down.
The Zero Down financing is available in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. Alteris the the Northeast’s leading installer of renewable energy.
While solar energy use is on the rise, it makes up 1 percent of the total energy produced in this country, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
“It is more affordable than ever for homeowners to go green with solar power,” said Ron French, president of Alteris Renewables, in a statement. “By having finance options that allow residential customers to take advantage of state and federal incentives without a significant cash outlay, we are eliminating cost as a hurdle for homeowners looking to reduce their carbon footprint and their dependence on fossil fuels.”
