Wallingford medical products manufacturer Z-Medica said it has won a contract to supply its products to a group of Texas hospitals.
Under the contract with Novation — a purchasing group and services provider — Z-Medica will sell its QuikClot hemostatic gauze products to the purchasing group’s partners, which include healthcare alliances VHA Inc. and UHC, the Children’s Hospital Association and Provista LLC.
Together, those providers purchased $49 billion of supplies through Novation in 2013.
It’s Z-Medica’s first contract with Novation. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
