Beth P. Beckman, DNSc, has been named the inaugural chief nursing executive for the Yale New Haven Health System. In this new role, she will be responsible for developing and overseeing the system-wide integration plan for key components of nursing, including nursing practice, staffing, education and development and communication.
Beckman was most recently vice president and chief nursing officer (CNO) of Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in Dallas, Texas.
Beckman earned her Doctor of Nursing Science degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, a Master’s of Science in nursing from Arizona State University and bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Arizona.

Doron Kathein of Fairfield has been named executive director of the Village at Mariner’s Point, an assisted living and memory care community in East Haven. Kathein previously managed the Village’s sibling facility in Brighton, Mass. for assisted-living provider Benchmark Senior Living, headquartered in Waltham, Mass.
