Marna P. Borgstrom, CEO of the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) and Yale New Haven Hospital, has been named one of the 100 most influential people in health care for 2019 by Modern Healthcare magazine.
The recognition program acknowledges and honors individuals who are deemed to be among the most influential individuals in the industry, in terms of leadership and impact.
Borgstrom has been with YNHHS since the beginning of her professional career. She received her master’s in public health at Yale School of Medicine, and since 1979 has held a variety of staff and leadership roles before being named president and CEO of YNHHS and YNHH in 2005. Over the subsequent 14 years, both the hospital and health system have focused on integrating cost effective, patient-centered health-care services. Borgstrom also serves on several national and local boards, including the AHA and New Haven Promise, and she chairs the Coalition to Protect America’s Healthcare and the Healthcare Institute.

State Department of Revenue Services (DRS) Commissioner Scott Jackson has accepted a position in the administration of New Haven’s incoming mayor, Justin Elicker, as chief administrative officer. His resignation from the DRS position is effective Jan. 16. One of the top three cabinet positions in city government, the CAO oversees departments including police, fire and public works. The position is currently occupied by Sean Matteson. Jackson was mayor of Hamden from 2009 to 2015. After leaving Hamden Town Hall, he went to work for state government, first in the Office of Policy & Management, then as commissioner of labor under then-Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.

Kevin Clark has been promoted to district manager for the U.S. Postal Service’s Connecticut Valley District, which includes more than 400 delivery units and four processing facilities across Connecticut, Rhode Island and western Massachusetts. Clark previously was district manager for the Northern New England District.
Beginning his USPS career as a letter carrier, Clark worked his way into leadership and served in several postmaster positions in Maine. He then worked as a plant manager of the Eastern Maine Processing Center, senior plant manager for the NNE and Albany districts and manager of post office operations for the Northern New England, Ohio Valley and Appalachian districts. Clark earned a BS in business administration from the University of Maine/Augusta.

Dustin Prevete
Laticrete, a manufacturer of globally-proven construction solutions for the building industry, has named Dustin Prevete senior product manager of the company’s Membranes business portfolio. In this role, Prevete will drive rationalization and innovation into his high-potential business, and position Laticrete for aggressive long-term sustainable growth. Most recently Prevete was group product manager at Stanley Black & Decker, where he worked on the company’s DeWalt tools and other brands in the company’s portfolio. He earned his MBA from Iona College.

Essex Savings Bank has promoted Diane Arnold of Ivoryton to senior vice president and chief lending officer. Arnold, who joined the bank in 2002, was most recently vice president/senior commercial loan officer. Arnold earned a BS in economics from Quinnipiac College and is a 1990 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management.
