The Yard Goats on Thursday revealed its 2020 schedule featuring 70 games at Dunkin’ Donuts Park in downtown Hartford.
As double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, the team’s fourth season at the 6,100-seat ballpark will begin Thursday, April 9, with a six-game homestand vs. Boston Red Sox affiliate Portland Sea Dogs and Washington Nationals affiliate Harrisburg Senators.
A total of 32 home games will be played on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Most weekday games are scheduled for 7:10 p.m.; Saturday games at 6:10 p.m.; and Sunday games at 1:10 p.m.
Season tickets for the upcoming April-September schedule are on sale, team officials said.
In 2019, the Yard Goats are 17-23 in fifth place of the Eastern League. But that hasn’t stopped fans from visiting Dunkin’ Donuts Park, previously named the league’s best ballpark.
The team currently has the league’s highest average game attendance with 6,011 fans a night, attracting more than 300,000 visitors from April through July. The Yard Goats also led the league in attendance last year, with 408,942 attendees in 68 games (6,014 per night).
