Farmington-based ConnectiCare has bought the exclusive naming rights for the Hartford Yard Goats picnic area. No financial details were disclosed for the multi-year partnership.
The picnic area is within the confines of Dunkin’ Donuts Park, where the opening game is scheduled to take place April 7. The sponsorship includes signage atop the picnic pavilion that can be seen from inside and outside the new $56 million stadium.
“We are delighted to be a part of the excitement the Yard Goats will bring to the Hartford area.
Baseball games bring the community together with good old-fashioned fun for people of all ages,” said Michael Wise, president and CEO of ConnectiCare.
The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, will play 71 home games at Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Downtown Hartford beginning in April 2016. The ballpark is under construction at the intersection of Main Street and Trumbull Street.
