The former deputy general counsel at Yale New Haven Health System has joined Shipman & Goodwin’s Hartford office as the leader of its privacy, cybersecurity and data innovation practice group, the law firm announced.
The firm said Marc Lombardi — who started his new role April 25 — brings more than two decades of experience in health care, emerging technologies and data innovation to Shipman & Goodwin.
The firm said Lombardi will lead a group of attorneys responsible for looking at data issues companies face in securing and managing their digital assets and consumer information.
Lombardi is a 1996 honors graduate of Boston College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in English and political science. He graduated with high honors in 2002 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Shipman & Goodwin has more than 140 lawyers in offices throughout Connecticut and New York.
