Yale New Haven Health System on Tuesday marked the opening of its newest urgent care location in Wallingford.
Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care now operates 22 centers throughout Connecticut and New York. The 3,000-square-foot facility is in Wallingford located at 1226 South Broad St., which formerly was home to a dentist’s office.
The Wallingford facility includes six examination rooms and a testing lab and is staffed by eight people.
In addition to Wallingford, Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care centers in Connecticut are located in Bristol, Brookfield, Derby, Enfield, Fairfield, Glastonbury, Groton, Hamden, Manchester, Newtown, Norwalk, Norwich, Orange, Ridgefield, Shelton, Southbury, Stratford, Waterbury and West Hartford.
Additional locations in Connecticut are expected to open in
by the end of the year, officials said.
“Our Urgent Care facilities provide a convenient option for routine medical needs, helping patients get the care they need — close to home and quickly,” said Pamela Sutton-Wallace, YNHHS president.
Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care locations are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays. It also offers 24/7 care via telehealth.
