Yale New Haven Health this week opened its newest urgent care center in Branford, the health system’s 24th location.
Located at 349 East Main St., the new 3,500-square-foot Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care facility opened Wednesday and features seven exam rooms, a laboratory offering same-day testing, and a team of six clinical and support staff.
The facility is intended to serve a wide range of non-emergency medical needs.
Overall, Yale New Haven Health now operates 23 urgent care centers in Connecticut and one in New York, with another scheduled to open in Darien next week.
Yale New Haven Health President Pamela Sutton-Wallace said the centers offer access and convenience to patients.
In addition to treating non-emergency medical conditions, Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care centers also offer X-rays and school, camp and sports physicals.
The facility also provides locally staffed, 24/7 telehealth services, allowing patients to consult with clinicians at any time, from anywhere.
