Yale New Haven Health has purchased the Stratford property of Nelson Ambulance Service, according to land records, as part of acquiring the North Haven-based company.
Yale New Haven Health, doing business as Y Access Transport LLC, bought the 19,914-square-foot, one-story building at 155 Research Drive, in November, according to a warranty deed filed with the town. Y Access Transport LLC is controlled by Yale New Haven Health Comprehensive Care Network Inc.
The seller was 279 Noble Ave LLC, controlled by Mark Panico, of Guilford. He was the vice president of Nelson Ambulance Service. 279 Noble Ave LLC bought the building for $1 million in 2012.
Nelson Ambulance Service has two locations in North Haven — its headquarters at 208 Quinnipiac Ave. and a garage at 282 Maple Ave. – and two other garages at 55 Seemans Lane in Milford and 47 Halloween Blvd. in Stamford.
Yale New Haven Health has also bought the Quinnipiac Avenue property in North Haven and leases the other locations in North Haven, Milford and Stamford, according to a source familiar with the deal.
Yale New Haven Health acquired Nelson Ambulance Service and its affiliates in November.
