The Yale New Haven Health system is hiring Gail W. Kosyla as its new chief financial officer.
Kosyla is slated to begin her new position on Nov. 28, according to an announcement.
Kosyla has been with RWJBarnabas Health since 2019, with her most current role as executive vice president of system financial operations.
Christopher O’Connor, YNHHS CEO and president, said the system is fortunate to have recruited someone with Kosyla’s talents.
“Her extensive experience in healthcare, and in an academic health system specifically, will help us shape the future of our health system in the years ahead,” O’Connor said.
Kosyla, a certified public accountant, has had senior roles at multiple regional and national health care systems. Her experience includes time as chief financial officer for the central region for RWJBarnabas Health. She also has had financial leadership roles at Hunterdon Healthcare System and St. Francis Medical Center in New Jersey and at St. Mary Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
