Dave Duclos, chief executive of insurance operations at XL Group PLC, with Hartford operations, is set to retire at yearend, and will be succeeded by Greg Hendrick, effective New Year’s Day.
Hendrick currently is XL’s executive vice president for strategic growth, a post he assumed in October 2010.
Duclos, who previously spent 21 years at Cigna Corp., has been insurance chief since 2008. He will remain aboard as an XL consultant through 2012 to advise on and assist with the transition, the Hamilton, Bermuda-based insurer said Wednesday.
