XL Capital Ltd., with subsidiary operations in Hartford, on Thursday officially moved its corporate domicile from the Cayman Islands to Dublin, Ireland, and changed its name to XL Group plc.
As previously announced, XL Group remains registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and its shares continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “XL.”
The XL Center arena in downtown Hartford also remains unchanged.
XL Group globally offers property, casualty, and specialty products to industrial, commercial, and professional firms, insurance companies and other enterprises on a worldwide basis.
Its principal executive offices are located at No. 1 Hatch Street Upper, 4th Floor, Dublin 2, Ireland.
