The Global Imaging Systems division of Norwalk’s Xerox Corp. has acquired Wisconsin office-products distributor Merizon Group Inc., its sixth such consolidation this year.
Sale terms weren’t disclosed Thursday.
Xerox has been open in its quest to create a nationwide network of local firms focused on improving document workflow and office efficiency.
Earlier this year, Global Imaging Systems bought up independent distributors in Iowa, New York, Illinois, Virginia and Florida.
Fifty-five year old Merizon, or MBM, distributes Canon, Samsung, and Kyocera Mita copiers, printers and multifunction systems in northeastern Wisconsin. To those it will immediately add Xerox’s lineup of office printers and other hardware and software, officials said.
MBM President Fritz Merizon will remain as company president.
