The Iowa media parent of WFSB Channel 3 in Rocky Hill has signed a deal to produce branded videos to be viewed daily by millions of retail shoppers in stores nationwide.
Meredith Corp.’s Meredith Video Studios division is partnering with digital media vendor Premier Retail Networks Inc. to produce and distribute the retail video content.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
According to both parties, the videos featuring “Better,” a 60-minute syndicated women’s lifestyle program, will be distributed to more than 4,500 retail stores and supermarkets in the U.S.
Meredith Video also will provide customized 30-second to two-minute how-to segments and other scripted narratives to be shown on TV monitors in store aisles and at checkout counters.
The content will center around Meredith’s magazine brands, including Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle and Fitness.
