Greenwich insurer W.R. Berkley Corp. named William M. Rohde Jr., previously president of its Acadia Insurance Co. Unit, an officer of the parent.
In addition, Douglas M. Nelson joins Acadia as president.
Rohde will have oversight responsibilities for Berkely’s regional operating units and reports to President W. Robert Berkley Jr. Rohde, who has more than 25 years of experience in the property casualty industry, graduated with a BA in finance from Texas A&M University.
Nelson joins Acadia with more than 25 years of experience in the property and casualty industry. He graduated with a B.S. in finance from the University of Connecticut and has a M.S. in finance from Boston College.
