Need a job? With so many workers displaced due to the pandemic, Workforce Alliance is having a virtual hiring series for job seekers with hiring representatives from a range of companies.
The schedule is as follows:
Wed. Oct. 21 and Wed. Oct. 28 from 10-11 a.m. FedEx is hiring warehouse package handlers for its Middletown hub.
Mon. Oct 26 from 10-11 a.m. Amazon is hiring warehouse associates and lift operators in its North Haven, Wallingford, and Cromwell locations.
Tues. Oct. 27 from 10-11 a.m. Aerotek is hiring call center representatives in North Haven.
Wed. Nov. 4 from 10-11 a.m. Clarity Output Solutions is hiring for multiple positions at its Stratford facility including cutter operator, bindery operator, inserter operator, production helper, TipOn operator, digital press helper, quality control, and warehouse clerk.
Tues. Nov. 10 from 1-2 p.m. Marrakech is hiring full and part-time program counselors, group home managers and support staff at multiple locations.
Wed. Nov. 11 from 1-2 p.m. The Village at Mariner’s Point (Benchmark) is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants, as well as housekeeping, dining and maintenance workers at its East Haven independent senior living facility.
Tues. Nov. 17 from 10-11 a.m. Chapel Haven is recruiting for a business and community relations specialist, employment specialist, job coach, and temporary cook at its New Haven day and residential facility for individuals with developmental and social disabilities.
The Virtual Hiring series is part of the “Fight COVID with a Career” initiative. In addition to hosting these events, Workforce Alliance is recruiting employers to be reimbursed up to 75% of wages for providing on-the-job training to new hires in full-time, permanent positions filled by those displaced by COVID-related closures or layoffs. Additional hiring events will be scheduled.

COVID-related services for employers and jobseekers are funded by a National Emergency Disaster Relief Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor and a CT Governor’s Workforce Council COVID-19 Response grant made possible by the federal CARES Act. Eligibility applies.
