Woodbridge 28-unit subdivision pitched

A Branford-based developer is looking to build a 14-lot subdivision on 3.5 acres near the Merritt Parkway in Woodbridge.

Litchfield Turnpike LLC and principal Lisa Amato submitted plans to the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission for the property at 10 and 14 Merritt Ave.

John Paul Garcia of Associates of Branford is the engineer for the project, called The Enclave at Woodbridge, which received town wetlands approval in July.

Plans call for 28 units in 14 duplex-style houses. 

The site sits east of Litchfield Turnpike, Route 69, bordered by the Merritt Parkway on the south and Merritt Avenue on the north. 

Access to the site will be from a single driveway to Merritt Avenue just east of Miles Avenue.

Developers are proposing a trail boundary along the east bank of the West River, from the New Haven town line to Merritt Avenue, the application reads.

The application will go to the PZC at its next meeting Jan. 3, 2023.
