The CEO of the Madison Square Garden Co., which owns the Hartford Wolf Pack American Hockey League franchise, has resigned, the company announced.
Tad Smith will take a senior position at an undisclosed company, MSG said. He had been with MSG for the past year, with duties that included oversight of MSG Sports, the business segment that owns the Wolf Pack, which is an affiliate of the MSG-owned New York Rangers NHL team.
MSG also owns the New York Knicks.
The Wolf Pack are a major tenant at the XL Center in Hartford, and are currently playing on a contract that runs through 2016.
