With funds in hand, UConn parade a ‘go’

Husky fans, let the parade begin!

The Hartford Business Improvement District and the MetroHartford Alliance announced Thursday afternoon the business and civic community had ponied up enough to host Sunday’s UConn men’s basketball victory parade.

Organizers had threatened to call it off unless another $25,000 was raised to cover expenses.

The parade will start at 3 p.m. and end at the State Capitol Building and will be immediately followed by a rally on the North steps of the Capitol building.
