The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection store is closing its doors forever. Stop in before the end of the year for huge savings on certain items.
DEEP announced the store at 79 Elm St., Hartford, will transition to an online only shopping venue as of Thursday, Dec. 31 at noon. It will continue to offer a wide selection of merchandise online that will be available to customers 24 hours a day at the store’s website.
While the store location is open for its final days, DEEP said in a statement, customers can stop by and purchase many items at “discounted” prices – of up to 50 percent off. These same discounts will also be offered through the online store.
The following items are popular online purchases and will continue to be available for customers:
- State Park Vehicle Pass 2016: Allows unlimited vehicle access to any state park or recreation area that has a parking fee. Valid year-round, including weekends and holidays. $67 (Non-Resident — $112)
- Connecticut Wildlife Magazine – A subscription to the DEEP Bureau of Natural Resource’s 24-page, full-color, bimonthly magazine for those who like to stay informed about fish, wildlife, and natural resource issues and events in the state. It is published six times a year, and is available by subscription for $8 a year, $15 for two years, or $20 for three years.
