A private-equity backed Wisconsin company said it has acquired Hartford-based American Masons’ & Building Supply.
Wisconsin’s US LBM Holdings LLC said owners David and Cindy Westerman will continue to lead the Hartford company, which they bought in 2011. American Masons has approximately 20 employees and sells drywall, steel framing, insulation and masonry products and supplies.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
US LBM, founded in 2009 and backed by BlackEagle Partners, also owns East Haven Builders Supply, which operates a kitchen showroom and lumberyard out of its East Haven headquarters, as well lumberyards in Manchester and Newtown, and Universal Component Corp. in Branford.
Dave Westerman said in a statement that the deal would allow American Masons’ to offer more products and services to its customers, and more growth opportunities to its associates and suppliers.
