Windsor’s Vantis Life airs CEO succession timeline

Windsor’s Vantis Life Insurance Co. on Monday said its newly tapped CEO will begin work after New Year’s Day.

As previously reported, Vantis in August said Ray Caucci, a senior vice president of product management for insurance firm Penn Mutual, would succeed Peter Tedone as CEO. Caucci begins as chief executive Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Tedone served as CEO of Vantis for 18 years and spent more than three decades with the company.

As CEO, Caucci, who spent 32 years at Penn Mutual, which acquired Vantis a few years ago for $73.3 million, will lead the company’s direct-to-consumer sales and implement its new underwriting technology, Vantis said Monday.
