Net income for Windsor financial software services provider SS&C Technologies Inc. jumped 75.7 percent in the third quarter compared to last year, when the company had yet to go public.
For the third quarter, net income was $9.9 million, a 75.7 percent increase over the third quarter 2009. Diluted earnings per share were 13 cents, a 44.4 percent increase over last year’s third quarter.
Third-quarter revenue was $83 million, a 20.5 percent increase from the year-earlier period.
Sales were aided by organic growth and various acquisitions by SS&C, including the purchase of TD Ameritrade’s thinklink operation in Needham, Mass.
SS&C went public on March 31 with a $161 million initial public offering.
