Windsor Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jane Garibay was chosen as the 2014 Chamber Executive of the Year by her peers at the New England Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Garibay manages the Windsor Chamber of Commerce and is involved in many professional groups and chambers including the MetroHartford Alliance.
She was recognized for her ability to encourage business partnerships, effect good works in her community with additional nonprofit causes, promote collaboration, and support economic development.
CRCOG’s Wray Elected to National Academy of Public Administration
Lyle Wray, executive director of The Capitol Region Council of Governments, has been elected as a member of the National Academy of Public Administration in Washington D.C. NAPA is chartered by Congress and is made up of 800 elected fellows. The group develops recommendations on the nation’s critical and complex public management, governance, policy and operational challenges.
Wray is one of two metropolitan regional council executive directors in NAPA. He was selected for his work on metropolitan regional issues, outcomes and performance measurement, and public service reform.
Hinckley Allen Receives 30 First-Tier National and Regional Rankings
Hartford law firm Hinckley Allen has been named a top tier national firm in litigation construction in the annual “Best Law Firms” rankings of The U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. Additionally, 29 of the firm’s practice areas received a tier one regional ranking.
The U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in the field, and a review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process.
