Windsor, Woodbridge awarded solar systems

The Connecticut Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority awarded a solar system each to Windsor and Woodbridge for the communities’ commitment to sustainability.

The awards came from CEFIA’s Clean Energy Communities Program where cities and towns are awarded points for various sustainability initiatives, such as installing clean energy systems. Once each town receives a certain level, CEFIA awards them with a solar installation.

Windsor received a two kilowatt solar photovoltaic system at Windsor High School. The community won the system for signing up more than 200 households to the CTCleanEnergyOptions program and installing 18 clean energy systems.

Woodbridge received a five kilowatt solar photovoltaic system at Massaro Community Farm. The community won the award for signing up 5 percent of its households to the CTCleanEnergyOptions program and installing 15 clean energy systems.
