Windsor’s Leipold Precision Group has expanded its manufacturing floor in an $8 million project supported by a $3 million loan from Connecticut.
The German manufacturer, internationally known as Leipold Gmbh, makes metal precision parts and opened its first U.S. plant in Windsor in 1998. In 2015, the company announced its plans to use the $3 million forgivable loan from the state Department of Economic and Community Development to expand its plant and add 20 jobs to its 40-person workforce.
Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman was scheduled to join state and local officials at the facility at 1 p.m. Friday to mark the recent completion of the project.
